Proctor’s Holiday Cottage is a delightful four-bedroom dwelling house created as a home-from-home specifically for families getting together to sample the delights of our beautiful countryside, mountains, lochs, rivers, castles, golf courses, etc. and all washed down with our world-famous Scotch whiskies.
The Aberdeenshire holiday cottage was recently converted from a 130 year old steading (barn) and has been beautifully appointed. The thick granite walls, slated roof and double glazing throughout creates a spacious but cosy base for your Safari around some of the best scenery in the North East of Scotland.
The cottage, in the heart of castle country and a stone’s throw from Royal Deeside, is accessed by a 120 metre-long driveway with your privacy protected by electric gates.
There are some great walks locally and Aberdeen offers plenty of good restaurants and bars, as well as a theatre and shopping. The region boasts more castles per acre than anywhere else in the UK, so take time to soak up the historic past in the surrounding area. The cottage is close to Royal Deeside where the beautiful scenery begs to be explored. The area is rich in outdoor activities with several wildlife reserves nearby, forest walks, hillwalking around Lochnagar, as well as ancient monuments. The beach is only 12 miles away and there is a shop, pub and restaurant within 1 mile. Golfers are amply catered for with over 20 courses within a 20-mile radius, including Trump International Links, Royal Aberdeen and the local Westhill Golf Club and there are many other activities available.
Proctor’s Cottage is a strictly non-smoking venue and unfortunately cannot accommodate pets.

The open-plan layout makes the holiday cottage an ideal gathering place for families!
The open-plan layout of the kitchen, dining areas and lounge make the cottage an excellent venue for family gatherings, for example, if you are all attending a local event such as a wedding, why don’t you all stay under one roof and have a chance to catch up with everybody? There are two dining tables, one to take six people (or eight at a squeeze, two at each end) and the second table seats four so if the kids want to sit at their own table and have more fun, that’s possible! There’s a great big safe and secure area for the kids to play in and plenty of ride-on toys to use on the long smooth, tarred driveway.
